"Don't you remember the good old days? When you'd let me by without so much as a question, whenever I screwed up? Remember simpler days?" Amaranth flashes the mental image into her twins mind, only to receive as skeptical look.

So, Amaranth bares her sharp, almost Vampiric teeth at David, without even thinking, and watches his face whiten, with mild interest, before realizing what she has just done. She laughs softly, under her breath; it was so easy to forget that people automatically connect abnormally long and sharp canines, with Vampirism. "I'm not a vampire." She says, watching the changes upon David's face, as his feelings apparently morph, visibly. Fear, Suspicion, Embarrassment, Resentment, and then, nothing. But, Amaranth can still feel the faintest shadow of fear in his oh-so-telling amber eyes.

Just then, there is a disturbance in the trees, not far from where we are standing. Into the clearing steps another Amber eyed boy; so similar in many ways to the younger version of himself, who's attention was suddenly fixed upon the intruder, and yet so different. There was a certain charm that went with this elevated maturity, making the attractive David seem, to us, a child compared to the handsome figure who stood before us, in all his golden glory.
