DESCRIPTION:
Physical Description: Kendra stands at 5'3", and is just over 100lbs. She has dark brown eyes, that compliment her dark brown hair, which touches just past her shoulders. She has a pretty slender build, one she's just always had. She doesn't do much to keep up with it, but has been told on several occasions by her mother to enjoy it, and that it wouldn't last forever. She has a rather oval shaped face, and high cheek bones, that cause small dimples on her lower cheeks when she smiles.
She has the 'girl next door' look, and the friendly smile that usually accompanies her face, makes her rather approachable. Although she is pretty, she does not appear to be stuck up or unfriendly because of it.
Style: Kendra has a style that clearly screams teenager, although, she can be a bit conservative. She wouldn't be caught dead in some of the things Phoebe and Paige may wear when their Grams isn't looking, but she does like to have flare. She'll wear nice skirts that brush her knee, and a top that compliments her eyes. She likes boots and denim skirts. Really, shoes are one of her favorite fashion accessories, and she has a wide variety. From pumps, high heels, boots, flip flops, and tennis shoes. It was much easier to be a shoe collector when you were a conjuror.
Kendra can be known to conjuror new outfits for herself, even mid-day during the school day. She may not dress wildly like some of her friends, but she loves clothes and likes a variety of them even more. Teachers often get a bit angry at her for it, because she is using her powers for personal gain. Another lesson she'll have to learn.
Looks Like: Mila Kunis
Personality: Kendra is very sweet, soft spoken, but outgoing, and kind. She can sometimes be a bit reserved, but overall she is pretty social. She has a troublemaker streak in her, but she tries to keep it in check. Being so close Phoebe doesn't help in that aspect though. There is something just so fulfilling about getting away with something you aren’t supposed to do. The consequences scare the heck out of her though, so sometimes she chickens out or goes for something a bit more safe. She likes to party though, and she loves to do the things she’s always told not to. Kendra is confident in her powers and she loves using them, but she does not always have confidence in herself. She relies heavily on her friends, and wants to be liked. Kendra would do anything for the friends she does have, and she is very loyal. Even with her rebellious side, Kendra doesn’t ever want to see people hurt. In her heart of hearts, she only wants to help them.
Kendra likes to have fun, and has a very fun-loving attitude towards life. Her rebellious side can't help to show, and it is often attributed to the fact that she is an only child. Used to being independent, she will often rebel against things she thing aren't right, or that she doesn't like. Even if those are rules inside the school. She’ll try anything once, but will be honest if it’s not something she’d want to experience again. She feels like she fits in for the most part, and she loves using her magic. When she and Phoebe are in the non-magical world, Kendra will use her power on a lot of mortals without them knowing. It helps them score free stuff, which is always fun. However, she knows that if her Magical Ethics teacher were to catch them at it, they'd probably have detention for ages. Kendra is a bit of a follower, but she has a lot to bring to the table. She counts hanging out with her friends as her favorite activity in the world. She's an average student, but a fiercely loyal friend.
The young woman is also quite a romantic, and she often can’t help but let that side of her take over. While most of her friends are flirts; Kendra tends to dream of romance. Particularly with Nick Jordan. He is certainly her best guy friend, and one of her closest. She can’t help but get a bit nervous around him on occasion, despite their close friendship.

History: Kendra was born in the mid 70s to Karen and Howard English. Her mother is a witch, who grew up in an all-magical family. Karen attended Magic School her entire life, and so magic is a huge part of who she is. Howard is a doctor, who attended pre-medical school in San Francisco. That was where he met Karen, who was just taking her first steps in living on her own after Magic School. It was an almost comical match, but the medical student got used to the idea of having a witch as a girlfriend. What was more important, magic or no, he couldn’t see his life without Karen. They married in August of 1972, and welcomed their first and only child into the world at the end of 1975. Kendra was a blessing to them, because Karen was to be said unable to have children. Although they tried, her parents were unable to give Kendra a sibling.
In 1979, Howard’s practice took him to Key West, Florida. Although Karen had wanted her daughter to grow up in San Francisco and go to Magic School from a young age, she knew that they would be better provided for if Howard could follow his career. So, Kendra grew up in Florida after the age of 4. Because her mother couldn’t bare the thought of her attending a school in a different state, Magic School or no, she allowed her daughter to attend mortal school. It was also good while she was young, that if something happened, her father could get to the school just as easily as Karen could. That doesn’t mean that Kendra missed out on learning magic when she was young – because Karen was sure to teach Kendra all she could about who she was. She taught her to control her powers, and to keep it hidden from strangers – all strangers.
When she was about 10 years old, her mother decided that it was time for her to attend Magic School. Her father was reluctant, but it was finally agreed that she would start her 5th grade year at the Magic School. Karen contacted the school, and registered her in a wave of excitement. Her daughter was going to get to experience the place she had called home and made her life long friends. Howard accepted it, knowing that it would be the best place for his daughter to learn how to control her magic. He was tired of finding a room full of conjured mess they had to get rid of. Yule was a hard holiday for the family, because Kendra always conjured the things she wanted. They could never give her anything better than what she would conjure.
The first friend that Kendra made at the school was Phoebe Halliwell, who remains to this day, her best friend. She had been told the prophecy of the Charmed Ones by her mother, who had taught her a lot about the magical world and her powers before she started the school. When she met Phoebe though, she didn’t seem like something out of some ancient history book. She was funny, friendly, and the pair found they shared a lot of the same interests, and types of powers. Kendra had just received her telepathy power when she was 9 years old, and had still not gotten the hang of it. She often accidentally read her friend’s mind. Soon after Kendra was introduced to Cali, and the three of them were inseparable. She feels like she is missing out on not having any siblings, and so she loves being with her two best friends, who she considers sisters anyways. She got into plenty of trouble with the both of them, including sneaking out, drinking, and even once for stealing at the end of the end their freshman year. It hadn’t been on purpose…
Kendra has a pretty good relationship with her parents, but doesn't feel like they understand what it's like to grow up in the times that she does. Between all the new technologies, the terrible temptations at school, experiencing her first love, the media hounding her to follow a trend, and the thought of having to protect herself in the future from demons who might want to steal her power, or use her against her best friend – Kendra is sure they have no idea how she feels. As do all teenagers.
When she was in the 6th grade, she was formally introduced to Nick Jordan, who was then in the 7th grade. He lived at the school and that in it of itself made him fascinating to her at first. She had been instantly taken with him, but to her he seemed so far above her. Nick pursued a friendship with her right off the bat and the pair became fast friends. Their shared telepathy power brought them closer, and it became a common way for them to communicate to each other even if they weren't in the same location. She always harbored a thing for him, but had convinced herself he didn’t see past a friendship. Although she went on a few dates with other boys, she could never really see herself with anyone else. Nick was caring, charming, funny, and he really took the time to get to know her. Being with someone else didn’t really feel right, especially with Nick close by.
Kendra received her gift of empathy on her first day of her Sophomore year, something she isn’t sure is a coincidence. The Elders seemed to like to play practical jokes on people. This gift was a side affect of its own making, and she learned of Nick’s feelings for her. The pair began on a rather rocky road that Kendra hopes has a happy ending.
Any Extra Information: She is in love with Nick Jordan, although she has trouble admitting it sometimes. She gets to Magic School, using a spell provided by the staff that transports her and lets her in.[/size]
