FIRST MANIFESTATION !

The first time Ashton ever experienced the use of his main active power, psychokenesiss, was when he was about five years old. He was scared nutsless at the time, which is probably what had kicked the power into play; he had been out playing with his brothers while their mother got the house ready for the little dinner party of the night. They had lived in the nicer suburban areas of New York City and they would always play in the yard and in the street. They lived in a residential enough neighborhood that it was safe for them to do so. Well one day, there had been a dog that had somehow managed to get loose from his pen and had managed to wander over to where the boys were playing. The next thing Ashton knew, he was staring face to face with this large mastiff dog with its teeth bared and its hairs standing on end and ready to strike. The dog leapt through the air and, the next thing either of the boys knew, the metal garbage cans that were sitting just near the road on their property came flying out of nowhere and slammed the dog in the head, causing it to run away from being spooked. Well that made four of them, as Ashton and his brothers were stunned.

The first time he would learn of his second ability, absorption, was when his younger brother Brandon learned that he had the power of pyrokenesis. Apparently the kenesis power abilities ran in his family, though that was obviously never told to the boys before that moment. Well Brandon had gotten scared after he had climbed up into a tree and couldn’t get down. Ashton had tried to help, but it ended up with Brandon somehow managing to send a ball of flames at Ashton. Without even thinking about it, Ashton absorbed the fire and managed to gain control of it before it shot back at his brother, igniting the tree that his brother was stuck in. well that got Brandon down, and a broken leg to go with it, and then that was when the family learned that Ashton would possess two active powers and not one active and two passive. A plus and a minus to that, but they dealt with it anyway.

PROFICIENCY !

Ashton would like to say that he is amazing with his powers and that he was one of the best in the entire school… but that would be a dream that he might have had one night while sleeping, but it was not reality. No, in reality, Ashton was very proficient with his powers and is very confident in what he can and cannot do. He started learning about his powers from the tender age of five and has, since then, been using his powers and trying to get used to them. And ever since he started school and started to actually take classes that taught him how to control his powers, his abilities and strength when using them have gotten stronger and more controlled. He was starting to feel more confident in his abilities and was starting to focus as lot more on his studies.

OVERALL APPEARANCE !

( HEIGHT ) Ashton stands at roughly five feet, ten inches tall. He might consider himself to be average height, but since his girlfriend is a mere 5’2” tall, he feels more like a tower in a sense. She sometimes even jokes about the air and if it smelled differently up there. She was funny sometimes, but he always laughed along with her.

( WEIGHT ) he felt that he was average in this regard. He weighed in at about one hundred and ninety-five pounds. He was not a flabby young man, though he wasn't solid muscle. He is lanky, but not sickly looking. His abs are defined, but not rock hard and gross looking like a freakish body builder would be. His mother says that he looks like an athlete, but Ashton is nowhere close to being anything of the sort. He was toned though, that coming from the countless hours he’d spend in the gym at his parents’ home at night when he couldn’t sleep or when Nora was at work and he didn’t have anything else to do.

( DISTINGUISHING MARKS ) Well, he had one piercing, his tongue, and then he sports a few tattoos on his arms and back. One of the tattoos he has is some nautical stars on his right forearm. When asked about them, all he will tell you is that "it's three Texas stars. I had it done in Texas. It was sort of half-planned. I was a little drunk and I sort of ran out of money half-way through, so I only managed to get the three, whereas I wanted them to go round my forearm." Another is a celtic tribal armband around his right bicep and the a celtic cross on his back. He was proud of his Scottish heritage, as you can tell. He got the two Celtic tattoos while he was visiting Scotland with his family, to visit with his parents’ families.

FACIAL FEATURES !

( HAIR ) his hair is a sandy brown color – which somewhat can also translate into dirty blond if you want to get technical – and it is usually kept to a slightly shaggy cut. His bangs hang to just around his eyebrows and he constantly runs his fingers through it when it gets in his way. Nora also likes to run her fingers through it, but she also likes to pull on it… gee I wonder why. But yeah, he rocks that shaggy hair-do and he loves it just fine; not too short and not too long, just right for min to manage. He the ‘rock star, skateboarding, funny, loving life and not care what his parents say or think’ kind of kid and

( EYES ) his eyes are a mixture of green and blue, though he likes to say that they are hazel-green. The reason for it is because of the way the colors of his eyes mesh and change depending on his moods. They are a rather light blue on the inside of his iris, but the there is a dark green ring around the outside of it. And when he is mad, it is almost as if some of the green bleeds into the blue and causes his eyes to turn a rather vibrant green-blue color; yet when he is very happy or… pleased, his eyes are more of a blue-green color. Always strange, but he never questioned it really, how could he? His eyes are usually cast downward though, as he isn’t really one to like looking at people in the eye.

( FACE / SKIN TONE ) his complexion is rather fair and he tends to tan out rather nicely on his arms, back, shoulders and chest. That is probably because they are usually more often exposed then his legs are and see the sun more; his legs are usually pale white and rarely look any different. He sports a slight five o’clock shadow on his face. He does shave, but not every day as it gives him a slight rash that is a rather large pain in the ass for him to deal with, especially when he always has a special someone rubbing up against his face. His scruff is soft though so she doesn’t complain much about it; though he knows it’s time to save when she tells him it hurts her face. He also always just seems to be thinking something; his brow was usually furrowed ever so slightly, though more so when he actually is thinking hard about something, and his lips always seem to be turned slightly upwards, like whatever he was thinking was something good.

STYLE !

Ashton was a fan of being comfortable; he didn’t see why anyone would ever want to wear something that made them feel awkward or uncomfortable – obviously things like Halloween were exceptions as that was kind of the point – in any way, shape or form. In the winter he wore flannels over tee shirts and warm wooly scarves, hats and gloves. In the summer, he was more of a tee shirts and jeans kind of guy; he didn’t much like shorts, so he rarely wore them, only when he was swimming did he tend to ever wear shorts. He can dress up pretty nice though when he is forced to and, when he does, usually slicks his hair back and wears a nicely tailored black suit.

LIKES !

( NORA ) from the very first day he met her, he knew that she was going to be special to him and that she would forever be in his life after that day. And she hasn’t left since, so he has been right so far. It was weird how it happened really; they had both been in the cafeteria and on line at the same time, he was a few spots ahead of her and he had reached back to grab the last fruit cup just as she reached up to grab it. Well they both got it at the same time and then started to tug on it to try and get the other to let it go. That didn’t happen either and then the pair started to raise their voices at one another to try and scare the other off. In the end, it pair erupted into a fit of giggles and then ended up sharing the fruit cup and the rest of their lunch together as well. They would remain just friends for a year, enough time to learn one another almost inside and out.

( MUSIC ) the second most important thing to him, he has been a fan of music and almost all forms of it since he was a little boy. His mother was always listening to classical and even got him lessons when he was growing up. He showed a great proficiency in it and then moved himself onto the guitar. It took him a bit longer to get used to playing it then it had with the piano, but he still learned and eventually began writing his own songs. Not many people know how musically inclined he is or that he even writes his own stuff; some of his closest friends know of his talents, but most don’t… not yet.

( CAMPING ) oh man, there is just something about taking a tent, some sleeping bags and your favorite person and going camping for the weekend. Being outdoors and just relaxing; fishing and boating, then cooking their own meals and such. Ashton loves camping and tries to do it as often as he can in the spring, summer and fall months. he will usually bring Nora and some other friends along because it just wouldn’t be any sort of trip without Nors. But he loves waking up to hearing no cars driving by, no honking horns, no people shouting and no other ‘modern world’ noises that would ruin such a moment.

DISLIKES !

( MATERIALISTIC PEOPLE ) being born into a wealthy family himself, Ashton was never really the sort to let money go to his head. He didn’t care if his parents bought him stuff. They would buy toys for him and his brothers all the time, but they were never around for the boys to really appreciate the toys with them. From an early age, Ashton learned to not care much for material possessions because that was the way his parents tried to show their love for him and his bothers; pity that wasn't the love they wanted or needed. And in such, Ashton does not think highly of anyone that cares more about material possessions then the real important stuff. He still took the car his parents bought him when he got his license when he turned sixteen, but he uses it to mainly chauffeur his friends and Nora around to work and such; he figures that he might as well get some good use out of it. Ever since he was a kid, he has always strived for more than what he had, but not in the materialistic sense. Love and happiness was something that he yearned for as he never really had it growing up and that was the most important thing to him for his future.

( LOOKING PEOPLE IN THE EYE ) except Nora of course, and a few other select few, but he usually keeps his eyes to himself and on the floor or on Nora’s sexy ass. He likes to think that the less he sees, the less he has to deal with later on. While he doesn’t associate with any of the ‘rich kids’ that go to school, he has known some them for a long time as his parents are rather wealthy and tended to know all of the other wealthy families in the country – well they tried to anyway – and he knew enough about most of them to not care to look at them. He has been working on this, as he has been like this since he was a kid; the last few years he has been doing much better with it and he knows why that is.

( BULLIES ) if there is one thing Ashton cannot stand, it is those that prey on the weak, the ones that pick on the kids younger and smaller then they are just because they are bigger and tougher. Seriously now, what does that honestly say about you that you can’t pick on someone of more equal stature out of fear of being beaten? Well, if that is the case, then don’t try to act tougher then you are; one day someone will call your bluff and then you will look like an even bigger fool. Ashton, while he usually doesn’t get involved in things between others, has been known to step in to defend someone younger and smaller from an older and tougher kid because he knows the odds are just not in the kid’s favor. Other than that though, he stays out of everything unless it directly involves him or Nora.

STRENGTHS !

( NORA ) she completed him in so many different ways, from their personalities to even their powers. It is uncanny how much in tune they really are and he feels that he can do anything in the world as long as she is by his side. The sky is the limit to him when she is there with him doing it too; she gives him inspiration and confidence to be himself and to be the person he wants to be with her and for her.

( INDIVIDUAL ) Ashton knows what he can and cannot do; he also knows that he is his own person and that no one can make his decisions for him, especially his parents. They want him to grow up and become a doctor or a lawyer and make lots and lots of money like his father and grandfather before him, but that just isn’t what Ashton is into. He loves taking life as it comes and not worrying so much about the future; if you plan it all out then where is the fun in living it? he loves to be himself and not let anyone try to influence him more then they would just on meeting them; meaning he doesn’t; want someone to purposely try to change him in any way.

WEAKNESSES !

( NORA ) oh man, this sex kitten is just what the doctor ordered – and by doctor we are referring to the man that he keeps hidden in his pants when he is not behind closed doors btw – and she knows just how to get him going. Their relationship is so weird in the fact that he would do anything for her, no matter what the cost, just as he knows she would do the same for him. After the three years they have spent together, two of them as an actual couple, they have grown to trust one another completely and would do absolutely anything for the other.

( STAGE FRIGHT ) for someone who loves music so much and wants to be a musician one day, he suffers from a very severe case of stage freight. It isn’t that he thinks he cannot sing, quite the contrary actually, but he just is afraid to perform in front of people. Sure there are people that have heard and seen hi before, but he usually shakes when he watches everyone watching him and has actually taken to closing his eyes when he performs so that he doesn’t have to look at anyone while he does perform.

GOAL !

Ashton’s goal in life is to marry Nora when he gets out of school and for him to become a musician. He loves music, not as much as he loves Nora though, and loves to jam out with his guitar and write music. He has been talking about starting a garage band with a few friends for quite some time now, but has yet to actually get it done. Can’t seem to get the guys to sit down and get this started. Until then, he will do whatever he has to do.

FEAR !

The one thing that Ashton fears more than anything else in this world is losing Nora. She’s been the one thing that has kept him alive all this time, that has made him realize that there is so much to live for, and he would never quit on her, therefore he’d never want to be without her. She is his life, his world, his heart, his mind, body and soul; she completes him in every way imaginable and he’d be lost without her.

SECRET !

In many ways, Ashton wonders what his life would be like had he been the real blue blood that his parents preferred him to be. It wasn't that he didn’t love who he was, because he did and he’d never change who he was for anything in the world, but sometimes he did wonder what else he could have, what more he could have, if he had chosen a different path.

HAPPIEST MEMORY !

Oh man, this would have to be something with Nora for sure. She is just… yeah. This would probably have to be the first time she had ever told him that she loved him. he had felt like he was walking on air that day; he had said it back of course, that being the first time he’s said it to her as well. it had been a Saturday afternoon in mid April and he had brought her home from work and there was no one home at the group home when they got there. He went in and they had just been up in her room having a conversation about something that he had read in the paper earlier that day. Well they had been lying next to each other and a simple kiss led to more kissing and then some heavy petting and then she admitted it and he almost jumped off of the bed and did a dance. Instead he returned the sentiment and kissed her… well that kiss then led to their first sexual encounter and that would then lead to I don’t even know how many as of right now.

WORST MEMORY !

This would have to be the day his youngest brother Jonathan died. He had been just before he started school in fact. They had been in New York City for the day with their parents; they had wanted to take Ashton on a shopping spree before school, much to his dismay as he tried to convince them to just give him some money and let him go by himself. Well they didn’t care of the expense and they wanted to be there with him when he bought everything; and of course their biased opinions also dictated what he bought and what stores he went into. In the end, he’d end up leaving with all these clothes he knew he’d never wear and that was when it had happened. His brothers had been carrying some of the boxes they had been purchased and they were getting ready to cross the street. Well his brother Jonathan stepped off the curb a bit too soon and got clipped by a taxi that was trying to make the yellow light by where they were crossing. His tiny body had gone flying through the air and his life would leave him the moment he hit the ground with a sickening thud.

OVERALL PERSONALITY !

He will stand up against his parents too, and he has done it already when he first started dating Nora. Apparently they thought she was good enough to be friends with, but just too poor for him to date. Well he told them that there was no amount of money that could ever keep him away from her in any way and that they were just going to have to get used to the idea. Well they must’ve realized that he was dead serious about it because they never said another word about it and they began to invite her to family dinners and gatherings as well. He was glad they accepted her as it made his life easier in the sense of having to sneak around and lie when he didn’t eel that he should have to. He shouldn’t have to hide who his girlfriend was, hello no! He loved her and he didn’t care who knew it either.

Ashton is a rather smart individual. He reads quite a bit and is often rather informed on the latest things going on in the world in a general sense. He reads the paper every morning before he gets to school sometimes even when he is in school and often finds himself in a discussion with a teacher or a friend about something going on in the world and what can be done about it. Other times he will just rant while he drives his friends or Nora somewhere. Ashton is also both book smart and street smart, not being one of those prissy rich pregnant doges like some he knew that would run home to mommy if someone tried to come after them. He may look like he is a f**k up, but he isn’t by any stretch. He knows what he wants to do with his life and he knows that he can do it; he just has to get over certain obstacles first.

When it comes to his family, Ashton is the closest with his brother Brandon; he is very protective of him too. Part of that stems from the loss of their youngest brother Jonathan and the solidarity that the three boys had formed growing up as their parents were never around much. Ashton had taken on the more parental role for the other two as he was the oldest. He knows that his parents don’t do squat so Ashton has pretty much taken over; Brandon probably wouldn’t been listen to his parents now as he was more used to Ashton being the one to tell him what to do and take care of him. he’s actually become quite good at cooking too since he’d dismiss the cooks and other staff at the house occasionally as he didn’t see a point for them to be there once he got old enough to do things on his own. His parents never knew of that of course, but he didn’t care if they ever did find out.

Another thing about Ashton is that he is not the sort to rush into something, even the things that he seems to rush into. He has a good head on his shoulders and his opinion and actions is not easily swayed by money or bribery; he thinks about the situation long and hard until he is confident that the decision he is making is the right one. Sure he may take less time than on some things then he does on others, but it also depends on the severity of the decision and the consequences involved and the people involved as well. true he is impulsive, but that is usually more on the level of ‘let’s go skydiving’ or something to that degree. The big things, like marriage, college, children, jobs if he got one and all of the major life steps that most take in their lives.

FAVORITE CLASS !

Phychokenisis has to be his favorite class because it has helped him learn to control and advance his abilities with his main power. He has learned a great deal in the class over the years and is thankful that he can now perform his abilities without misfiring or getting tired too fast. Control is the main key for him and he has learned a great deal about it over the last three years.

LEAST FAVORITE CLASS !

His least favorite subject would have to be a toss up between history of magic and English and literature. While he finds the reading in the class rather intriguing, it’s just that sometimes his attention span is short to where he loses interest in the class. he does his work and gets good grades in all of his classes, don’t get him wrong; it’s just his attitude about the classes is nutsty.

SUBJECT BEST AT !

Potion making would have to be his best subject that has nothing to do with his powers. Psychikenesis would be his best, but he doesn’t think it should just be about the ‘power’ classes. He has excelled in potion making since he started school and his tutelage in that field and has gotten very high marks in every class he’s taken for it so far.

SUBJECT WORST AT !

Magical ethics would have to be his worse class, though that is more because he gets frustrated with some of the close mindedness people that roam the halls of the school, both students and teachers alike, and that taking classes like that is just begging for a brawl to break out in class. And seriously, one of these days, there was going to be a brawl in one of its classes when a topic that is a little more than sensitive gets broached. Not saying that he would start or even be involved in such a brawl that would depend on who was involved and if anyone hurt Nora in class; he’d get in trouble.

( STAGE ONE )
It was cold and snowing on the say that Ashton was born. He was a Sagittarius and a midnight baby, born on December 15 as one minute past midnight. His mother had gone into labor in the late afternoon of the day before, but it would be a rather long labor for her first child, though she made out all right for her first child with just under a nine hour labor. He was born a month early so he had to stay a few extra days just to make sure that he was all right. He weighed only five pounds and eight ounces and was approximately twenty-one inches long. He was a tall baby, which explains how he is five feet ten inches tall now.

( STAGE TWO )
His home life for the first few years would be decent, though he saw more of the housekeeper and his nanny than he did his parents. He was constantly kept busy by being taken to the park and the toy store where his nanny was instructed to buy him large toys from his parents. At first he loved the gifts, but once he hit around four and his younger brother Brandon was born. Ashton started to realize that his parents didn’t seem to care about them at all. From almost the moment Brandon was born, he was with Ash and the nanny; their mother never spent any time with him, the same way she had been with Ashton, and it would be like that when his youngest brother Jonathan was born as well.

( STAGE THREE )
The three boys would become very close and form a very strong bond as they would be together all the time until they would start their tutoring and such. With their parents gone all the time, they had started to rely more on each other than anyone else, even the hired care providers, and would pretty much stick with each other and not venture far outside of that comfort zone. It would always be the three of them, up until Ashton was about thirteen, Brandon was about eleven and Jonathan was only just ten years old. It would be then that Jonathan would die and it would then become just the two of them. After that was when Ashton started to get even more protective; he didn't want to lose another brother.

( STAGE FOUR )
Before he was to go off to the Magic School, Ashton was homeschooled by a private tutor that his parents had paid to come in and teach him all about the world. It wasn't about magic then, as the tutor was just a regular mortal man; the magic stuff was taught to them by another tutor that had been paid for by their parents to come in and teach them about magic and how to start learning to control their abilities. Ashton studied with these tutors for ten years. His brothers would begin their tutelage once they hit five years old and would continue until it was their time to go to the Magic School as well.

( STAGE FIVE )
Going to the magic school was like a dream come true for Ashton. He had heard about it from his mother who had gone there when she was his age and he had been looking forward to going there for as long as he knew about magic and the school. He had been situated himself rather nicely in the school and made a few friends rather quickly, something he was rather pleased about. Two of them in particular would be Nora and Meka. Nora would start out as his friend and they would grow very close over that first year and then start dating, bringing them to where they are today. Meka and him have been like brothers ever since as well and Ash is so glad to have them in his life.

( STAGE SIX )
Life as a whole has been great thus far. He is just starting his junior year of the Magic School and is progressing rather nicely with all of his studies, even the classes he doesn’t like. He has a great girlfriend, one he doesn’t think he could ever be without, and a best friend he wouldn’t trade for the world. He is still really close wit his brother and he still doesn’t really like his parents all that much. And while he is not a materialistic person, he has no problem using his parents for money. They give him whatever he wants ad he pretty much turns around and puts it all away in a separate bank account in just his name for future purposes. That way, when they get out of school, they can enjoy life and not have to worry about money. He wanted the simple life and he wanted it with his Nora. And his parents were going to give it to him, whether they knew it or not.

It had been a perfect day to go to the beach. The sun was shining brightly above and the wind was blowing lightly, just enough to keep you cool in the heat that the sun caused. Ashton had made sure to grab a couple of coolers as well as his surf board and some towels, umbrellas and chairs before heading on down to the group home to pick up Nora. They were meeting everyone else there as they had to stop off at the mall first because Ash wanted to surprise Nora with her birthday present. He had been caught between two different things to get her and he had been trying to figure it out for weeks now, but had yet to come up with a decision. It was then that he decided to just take her and let her choose which one she wanted. He knew she’d like them both, but he’s rather let her choose.

“Where are we going, Ash? The beach is that way?” Nora asked him when he got off at the exit for the mall and not for the road that would take them to the beach. He laughed slightly at her question and then shook his head at her. “Calm down, Nors. I have to stop at the mall real quick first,” he told her wit a reassuring smile. she nodded an then turned up the volume of the song and he couldn’t help but watch her out of the corner of his eyes as she sang and danced to the music in her sat as he neared the mall. “I am going to need your opinion on something though,” he said to her as they pulled into a spot. She agreed, of course, and the pair walked into the mall hand in hand.

He guided her towards the store he wanted to go into and her eyes widened when she saw that it was the Yankee Candle Factory. As soon as the saleswoman saw him there, she nodded and went into the back briefly before returning with three rather large baskets filled with candles. “Happy birthday, sexy,” he whispered in her ear before placing a kiss on her cheek. “Pick one,” he told her as he held his hand out towards the three packages for her choosing. She turned around and looked at him with wide eyes and a growing smile. “Are you kidding me, for real?” she asked him with a giddy tone to her. “of course I am, love. As I said, happy birthday.” d**n he loved this girl.
