I can't believe that I haven't posted anything in this thread before! Books are one of my main passions. I pretty much live for the written word [and music and beads ] I'll read pretty much anything, but I especially love fantasy/horror novels and anything that's based around the supernatural. Some of my favourite authors are Kelley Armstrong, Jeanne Kalogridis, Rob Thurman, James A Moore, Jim Butcher, LJ Smith [from my younger years!], Peter Straubb and Patricia Briggs. If anyone can recommend any good fantasy/horror novelists, please do. I'm always on the lookout for new authors

Melanie Rawn is a really good fantasy writer. I love her work. As is Trudi Canavan and James Barclay. Anything by all three is good. But their work is only fantasy. I don't read horror so I don't know about any authors for that. Would also recommend Nancy Springer as well but I find her work is hard to get hold of. I suppose for supernatural aspect 'Beloved' by Toni Morrison would be a candidate for it as its to do with ghosts. But other than that I can't really think of anything else. Not unless you go for some classics like 'Turn of the Screw' or 'Woman in Black' (that isn't a classic), something like that.

I love books. I always have and I always will. I am really into mystery and horror but I can never find books that are complex enogh for me to read..... If I get them from school I can find for mystery is Nancy Drew. She is way too easy. I am also very in to religion so I love the left behind books. The acual books not the kid ones... But when I first read the book it kind of scared me.... But if anyone has any books in those two genres or any other for that matter I will be sure to check them out...

I love Jim Butcher's books -- especially the Dresden Series! I've still to read a few of them to complete the current releases though...
