[/u] Bella is a peace keeper by nature. She will do absolutely everything in her power to keep peace. Even sacrifice her own well being. She's known for having a calming effect on people and prefers to use her words rather than her fists to solve a problem. She doesn't like animosity at all, it makes her upset and she'd prefer it if everyone could at least try and be civil with one another. She knows this is a statistical impossibility among teenagers, but she's idealistic.

LIKES !
MAGIC Magic is completely new to Bella. When she was little she'd always wished that it existed, but she never saw it. Until she died, Bella had no idea that there was actually magic in the world at all. She was two weeks new to this whole 'magic really exists' reality and she was in complete and utter awe. She loved it, she absolutely could not get enough of other people and their powers. Even her own powers were amazing to her, especially her own powers as she could perform them herself. It was everything beyond her wildest dreams and she was pretty sure she was still in shock over it.
PEOPLE Bella is a people person, she doesn't care who the person is, she loves every single one of them. She loves meeting new people, so it was like Disneyland, coming to Magic School. It takes a lot of effort to get Bella to dislike you as she will give chance upon chance to prove yourself a good person. She refuses to believe that a person can be completely evil and she thinks that everyone must have some good in them. A lot of people think that this is naive, but Bella believes that some people just need someone that's not going to give up on them.
[/ul]DISLIKES !
PAIN Bella has never been very good with pain or blood. She doesn't like it, it doesn't suit her. Bella likes being happy, if she's in pain, she's not happy. She's taken her fair share of beatings (mostly in other people's place) but she's done that to save someone and when it was necessary. It didn't mean she enjoyed it. In fact, pain hurt. A lot. Most likely than not, it would make her cry a little, or at least give a particularly wounded look to the offender. She's not a fighter either, people that have tried to fight her know this. If they hit her, she won't fight back. She's not just going to stand there and let it happen, mind you, she will try to find a way to get away, but she's not going to brawl.
BIAS Bella likes equality. Everyone should be treated the same in her eyes. She knows that life isn't fair, but she believes that it should be and it's up to the people of the world to make that possible. It makes her upset when people purposefully discriminate. In her mind, no one should be left out or turned down or made fun of. They were all people and they all had feelings and emotions. It was wrong for someone to think that they were more important or more deserving than someone else.
[/ul]STRENGTHS !
FOCUSED Bella has been given another chance at life, another chance at helping people. This has made her incredibly focused in learning everything she can about the new world she lives in and about magic. She's also emotionally focused. While she's easily upset, she's not easily distracted, so it's hard to get one over on her. She's innately trusting, but she will follow her instincts if they tell her something is off. Bella refuses to fail in the task laid out before her and that's what keeps her strong.
[/ul]WEAKNESSES !
NEW One of Bella's biggest disadvantages in the Magical World is that she's completely new to it. She's only been dead for gone two weeks. Anyone could tell her anything with utter sincerity and she'd be inclined to believe them. She's sometimes too trusting for her own good. She doesn't have very many friends yet either, because no one really knows her except that she's sweet and a Whitelighter and it'd be easy for someone to manipulate that against her.

Isabella Kylie Addison was born on September 19th, 1975 at 1:24 in the afternoon. The sun was shining brightly, the leaves were just changing colors and falling from the trees. The birds were singing so happily that you almost expected everyone to spontaneously burst into song. The delivery room was not such a happy place, however. There had been a complication in which the umbilical cord had wrapped itself around Bella's neck and she wasn't getting any air. They had to preform an emergency C-section just to get her out in time so she could keep living. Sometimes, to Bella, it kinda seemed that life was just out to get her, like it didn't want her living and therefore set about trying to dissuade her from doing just that.
Bella was a quiet baby, she was never very fussy except in expected times when she was hungry or needed a change. She was usually quite happy to just play silently. When she was two, she got severely sick and nearly died in the hospital, her parents feared that this messed up her brain somehow, but as time progressed, Bella started showing signs of being a normal child. Bella was shy, she really didn't like hanging around people at first as a child, she just sat back and observed them and played by herself. But she was happy that way.
When she started school and was made to work in groups with the other students, they seemed drawn to her sweet nature. This surprised Bella as she didn't think she was really anything special, but she soon had friends they played with her every day. Bella found out early on that she loved people, all of them. Every single one of them, she was sure, had something nice about them and she wanted to find it. This was largely how Bella found herself friends with all different kinds of people from the loners to even some of the bullies. Some bullies were just misunderstood people, she found out, other bullies were just mean to be mean because they could. She didn't give up on those ones, per se, she just couldn't seem to ever get through to them and they'd made her cry a fair few times.
Bella was always a good student, not the best or the top of the class, but she got decent grades and kept a pretty good grade point average. She had always hoped to go to a good college and get a degree in something like therapy or something. She liked helping people and she liked seeing them happy. This is why, when she was in Middle School, she was always breaking up fights. Teenagers seemed a lot more angry than children were. There had always been playground scuffles, but nothing ever full blown like a early teenage fight. In Bella's eyes, they all just looked so ready to explode! First she would try to stop a fight by asking, pleading maybe even begging and then, if they didn't listen, she would step in. Not a lot of people actually liked hitting Bella. Maybe it was because she looked like a wounded doe when she was hurt, maybe it was because she didn't seem to have a single aggressive bone in her body. But once someone realized they'd hit Bella instead of their intended target, the fight usually stopped pretty abruptly. She was willing to make that sacrifice for other people. There were those few people, however, that didn't care that they were hitting her and just continued hitting. Bella didn't like those times, but she accepted it solemnly.
Bella loved Physical Activities, she was part of her Middle School's Volleyball team and the track team. She liked track more than she liked Volleyball though. When she went to High School, she tried out for their track team which was comprised of all grades. When she was accepted on to the team, she was ecstatic and excitedly celebrated with her parents. Bella was always an excitable girl and when she was excited, everyone[/] knew it. She ran track her entire Freshman year, one of the top runners. Bella was pretty popular in her school. None of the cheerleaders really liked her, but then, the cheerleaders didn't like anyone that wasn't a football player or a cheerleader themselves. Besides, in Bella's opinion those girls were just really catty and best left to their own devices as often as possible.
A couple weeks after her 16th birthday and a couple months into her Sophomore year in High School, Bella died. She was at an outside cafe with her parents, enjoying the warm fall day of October first. She remembered that she was eating roasted chicken with steamed vegetables. She had been day dreaming, staring off into space across the street as she ate. She could have told you what she was thinking about, it was just one of those things that you remember while it's happening. She was startled back into reality when she realized what exactly she was staring at. There was a kid in the middle of the street maybe about 11 or 12, that wasn't too uncommon, people walked across the street all the time, but he'd dropped the books he was carrying. He knelt down to pick them up and then a page fluttered out of one of them. She'd heard the muttering from where she was sitting and she couldn't take her eyes off of him. Her eyes darted to the street while he crawled across the ground, trying to catch the paper from the fall breeze. There was a car coming. He didn't see it.
Bella jumped to her feet, nearly knocking the table over in her haste and jumped over the steel fence that was separating the cafe from the sidewalk and street. She was screaming at the top of her lungs for him to move, standing on the sidewalk. The boy looked up and froze in first confusion and then horror, hand still reached out for the paper and grasping nothing. He wasn't going to move, he was just staring and the car was almost on top of him. The driver wasn't paying attention, Bella could see that. There was cellphone attached to her ear and she was either checking her make-up or fixing the radio, Bella couldn't tell from her distance. She'll probably never know what made her do it, maybe it was just like all those time she'd stepped in to stop a fight, but she soon found herself running across the street. The boy was half raised, like he really wanted to stand up, but could move. Bella was still yelling at him, but he couldn't hear her. The car was mere feet away and Bella shoved him out of the way, not leaving enough time for her to get her own self out of the way and was, instead, struck with the car. Death was instantaneous, she expected, because she didn't remember anything about it. She remembered turning to see the car and then blackness.
The most startling thing about all of this, she supposed, was when she could see clearly again but felt no pain. She wasn't even laying down, she was still standing as though the car had never hit her, though she was sure it had. She was facing the cafe and people were running and screaming and crying and screaming some more. Bella felt confusion for a couple moments before she slowly turned and looked down. Directly at her broken and bleeding body. She was sure that were it possible for a ghost to faint, she would have. As it was, she screamed for a good five minutes before she could calm herself down enough to try and think logically. She saw her parents bent over her body, they looked so distraught and devastated. Her mom was openly sobbing into her dad's shirt, great heaving sobs that broke her heart just to hear it. Those were the kind of cries you heard only in movies when people realized that hope had been abandoned. Her dad was clinging to her mom so hard that his knuckles here white, his mouth twisted into a grotesque 'O' of surprise and horror. His face was a paler shade of death and his eyes were wild and wide. Bella spent a couple minutes trying to get them to hear her, trying to plead with them to see her and trying to assure them that everything was going to be ok.
That's when there was a voice behind her, speaking directly to her. She knew he was talking to her, because he said her name. She turned around, panicky breaths escaping her lips in great puffs, to see a man in a golden robe. He explained who he was, said that was an 'Elder' and told her that she had been selected to go through training to be a 'Whitelighter' a sort of guardian angel for witches. He did, of course, have to spend some time convincing Bella that magic and witches were real. He told her that she was being given a second chance to help people and being a whitelighter would mean that she would get to protect many a person from the evil's of the world. But being new to this different world, she would have to go to a school for magic to learn about it and about herself if she chose to accept. The only condition was that she couldn't tell anyone that she'd known previous about the fact that she was an angel and still about to walk around like she was still human. Bella stared at her parents for a moment before accepting quickly and asking what she had to do. He orbed her to Magic School, a very disorienting ride, to be sure, and then made her corporal again. He told her that she now had the limited powers of a Whitelighter and would gain full access to her powers when she completed her training and then he took her to the Headmistress, another Elder, and left her to get scheduled into the school.
Admittedly, Bella's not very good with adjusting to 180 situations. Being in a school with absolutely no one she knew around for comfort and familiarity was hard, having to live at the school was even harder. She could barely sleep in a bed that wasn't her own, she just wasn't used to it. She'd been at the school for merely a little over two weeks. The loss of her previous life was still strong and she still found it upsetting, she still cried about it and about the loss of her parents and her friends. She didn't know how to react to this new world, though she was completely fascinated by all the different magical powers. She keeps herself strong by reminding herself that she has a purpose in her 'life' now. She thinks of all the people that she'll help in the future and it makes her feel better, like a security blanket.
