DESCRIPTION:
Physical Description: Ava is rather petite and curvy, standing at only 5’3”. She is very pale, due to her preference for the indoors as opposed to the outside. Her hair is an average brown color and slightly wavy. Since it's pretty thick, curling or straightening doesn't work on it. Ava doesn't have any freckles or birthmarks, which she is extremely happy about. However, she isn't very happy about her feet. She constantly complains about them being too big and clumsy.
Style: Ava doesn't have a particular style. She wears whatever she thinks would look good together. She does enjoy mixing vintage clothing with modern sometimes as well. Ava never really got into fashion or appearance because she felt that people hid behind their appearance so often that no one could really see who they were underneath, so she doesn't really know the basics of what colors match or what types of clothing should be worn together. Because of this, she throws on a lot of accessories such as scarves, necklaces, and bracelets. Ava believes that you should try to communicate who you really are through your clothing. So, she wears what she likes how she likes it.
Looks Like: Ashley Greene
Personality:
Ava is conservative and calm, the voice of reason. She doesn't believe in things like destiny and fate, which often causes conflict between her and her best friend, Sho. Ava is a logical thinker, preferring the mind over the heart. She can be stuck up and stubborn, but most of the time she is very open to new ideas and activities.
Ava's view on life is surprising to most. She wants to get her younger years over with, so that she can focus on what she considers the most important part of life where she can change the world. She is very determined and headstrong, confident in her beliefs and goals. She always aims high and tries her best.
Ava also has the motherly trait. She looks after her friends and family as if they were her own children. She would stop to talk to a crying stranger in the hall, even if it meant missing an important lesson on fighting demons. This trait often overrides all her other logical reasoning. She denies this when it is brought up, but it's blatantly obvious.

History: Ava was born in Tampa, Florida and lived there with her mother, father, and brother for five years. During those five years, she attended a preschool. There, she blew up a building block castle. Her first showing of magical powers. They later moved to Salem, where she met Sho playing in the coy fish pond in her new backyard. They became friends almost instantly, due to the fact that Sho was very outgoing and wouldn't leave the more content Ava alone until she pinky promised to be his new best friend.
Sho and Ava grew up together, nearly inseparable throughout elementary and middle school. It was only when Sho turned 12 that they told each other about their powers. The sharing of their secrets brought them even closer. When Ava turned 14, she began attending Magic School along with Sho. She quickly learned that she was terrible at Potion Making. She would constantly misread directions and add the wrong ingredients. At times, she would burn her hair, melt the floors, or even turn her skin green. She did find out that she was very good at controlling her power, Molecular Combustion. Ava enjoys painting and reading in her bedroom most of the time, but she can be found wandering the halls of Magic School with her best friend, Sho.
Together, they tend to get in trouble. Separate, they still manage to get into trouble. Ava has a difficult time making friends. She tries to focus on school work instead of other things. Sho has helped her grow just a bit more reckless, but she still believes in the "work now, play later" saying. She is very good at school with the obvious exception of Potion Making.
Any Extra Information: Ava has a tattoo of the Japanese symbol for happiness on the base of her right thumb. She and Sho got them when they were 15.[/size]
SAMPLE WRITING:
Ava rolled over in her bed, facing the picture window overlooking the busy street below. “Ava! Get down here and take Jon to Bobby’s!” Susan, her mother, shouted. Ava could faintly hear the ranting of her brother downstairs, complaining about how their mother never trusted him to go anywhere on his own. She lifted herself up off the bed and headed for the door, pulling her pink hoodie off the doorknob before closing the door behind her.
“Come on, Squirt. Let’s go.” She said as she skipped down the stairs.
“Whatever you say, Nerd.” He replied. Ava stuck her tongue out at him after she slid her hoodie over her head.
“Got the keys?” She asked, stepping outside onto the porch. Ava barely caught the keys with her fingertips when he tossed them.
“Shotgun!” He called, running to the car. She raised an eyebrow and followed him.
“Loser.” She said, unlocking the doors.
“Geek.” He retorted.
“Bye Jon!” Ava called as he raced up the steps to the door of his friend’s house. He hastily waved at her as the door opened and he raced inside. Ava smiled and turned the key once more. As she stopped at a red light, she contemplated her situation. It was a Sunday and just now 11:30 am, which meant that she had the whole day off to do absolutely whatever she wanted. And she had about $250 burning a hole in her purse. Ava smiled to herself and passed the road that led back to her house.
“No reason I can’t have a little fun.” She said to herself, heading to her best friend's house.
Ava rang the doorbell once, knocked twice, rang the doorbell again three times, and ended the knock with a swift kick to the bottom of the door. "Ava! Darling, come in sweetheart!" Ayame, Sho's mother, called out. Ava smiled to herself and opened the door, bracing herself for the endless tirade of hugs and kisses from Sho's family.
"Hey, honey." Moeta, Sho's dad, called from the living room. He was the most subtle in his greeting.
"Aya! My daughter-in-law to be!" Ayame cried, throwing her arms around the girl and kissing her cheek. Ava giggled and hugged her back.
"Take it one step at a time, mama. We're only 17." She teased. Ayame smiled and patted Ava's head before heading back into the kitchen.
"Ava! Ava! Ava!" She heard. She turned to the stairs and smiled. Sho's younger twin sisters were racing down them. Ava laughed as they threw themselves into her.
"Hey Momo. Hey Sato. How are my two favorite girls?" She asked. They smiled big, their hands behind their backs.
"Fine!" They chorused. She narrowed her eyes and held out her hands.
"Whatever you have, give it here, you naughty little tyrants." She said. They giggled and placed two dry, moving things in Ava's hands. Ava glanced down at the lizards in her hands and screamed, falling back on her rear. The lizards skittered into the living room, the two snickering girls following behind them. She heard the familiar laughter making its way to her side.
"Sorry, Ava. I might've told them you were afraid of lizards. My bad." Sho said, grabbing her under her shoulders and lifting her up.
"You're going to be sorry." Ava muttered, turning to face him with her hands on her hips. She gave him a once over and furrowed her brow.
"You're wearing a skirt." She said, tugging on the terribly ripped black skirt around his waist. Sho laughed.
"Do you like it?" He asked. Ava tapped her chin with her index finger before nodding.
"Actually, it doesn't look that bad. But since it's mine, it should look fantastic." She said, raising an eyebrow. Sho laughed again and grabbed her wrist.
"Let's go to the mall. I'm bored." He said, dragging her out the door. [/blockquote]
