Cali can't help it if there are a cute pair of shoes that call out to her... it's not her fault, is it?

History:
Cali has had a good upbringing, considering she's a witch and all. Her parents where high school sweethearts, they met young and just fell for each other! They where at Magic School, they got together and where prom queen and king. They had a fairy tale wedding (literary!) and had a beautiful baby a few summers after they got married. That was Cali. The couple were over joyed that their life was going well. It seemed they had been blessed considering both had had such turbulent childhoods themselves, they vowed that this wouldn't happen to Cali and any other children that proceeded her.
Cali was named after a Greek woman who helped deliver her when her mother went into labour in golden gate park one very sunny afternoon. It was the height of summer and so Callia Summer Reed was brought into the world, little did they know that the woman would turn out and be a friend of Leilani Mahala, the headmistress of the Magic School Cali would attend when she was older.
Cali was joined by a little sister when she was 4. It was a surprise for the family, but a good one which provided Cali with a new way to show she is protective of her family as well as her friends.
Callia loves Magic school and everything about it. She isn't as wild as Phoebe or Kendra but calls them her best friends for sure. Anything going on she'd know and vis versa. Every summer the Reeds go on a massive holiday at the end, since her father works until a certain date so she always misses the first day of school... but never the night of the party!
Cali hasn't really been in trouble at school but she's no angel either. She is wild about nature and animals and protests all the time to the headmistress to stop using animals in school... demons yes!
Cali's powers stem from the ultimate joining of her parents. Her mom has the power of photokinesis, whereas her father has the power of chlorokinesis. Cali's sun driven power is her favourite, simply because not everyone has it!

SAMPLE WRITING:
Grace had been sitting in her bedroom trying to do her assignments for class. She was studying a few different classes as she still was sure what she wanted to do for a career. Psychology or criminology? Fashion? All very different but she was a smart girl and wasn't overloaded with work anyway. She had left the house and went for a run, she was writing a paper on the mentality of people and their emotional thoughts mixed with their normal thoughts. How the past affects people, she frowned and pressed play on her cassette player, she was happy to hear that her friend had uploaded some stuff onto it. She had a better music collection than Grace anyway.
Grace started to jog in her small cropped top which fit well over her sports bra and a pair of black Nike shorts, as Pretty Girl by Sugarcult came on. She ran faster, pushing herself as she ran thoughtlessly around the circuit she'd created for herself in freshman year of high school, before everything happened. This track had gotten her over a lot of things, bad grades, bad nights out, bad guys... nice guys that she'd screwed over because she had issues... as she thought, a lot of things. Grace had been told by some guy last year in New York that she was pretty, but should figure out her problem with guys. She'd been so caught up in her thoughts of him. He rang around her head a lot, especially lately. She was so tempted to tell him about her feelings, the urge to tell him was overwhelming, but her reputation... She heard the sound kick off into the verse.
She's beautiful as usual with bruises on her ego and
Her killer instinct tells her to beware of evil men
And that's what you get for falling again
You can never get 'em out of your head
And that's what you get for falling again
You can never get 'em out of your head
She pushed herself harder again as the song's chorus told her about the way the man made the girl in the song fall in love. Grace had heard this song once before but never listened to the words, she just said in passing to Keri that she liked it. Grace felt her muscles scream out for a little rest, or even for her to slow down as the last words in the song were sang.
Pretty girl is suffering, while he confesses everything
Pretty soon she'll figure out what his intentions were about
That's what you get for falling again
You can never get 'em out of your head
Grace felt like screaming as she pushed her legs again to go faster. She was more focused on the guy on her mind as she tripped over nothing and fell to the ground. Her body and it's muscles thanked her for falling and Grace lay there, her hair wildly sprawled out from the alice band she had on downwards. The warm sand was soothing her muscles a little at least. Grace didn't hear someone come over whilst laying enjoying the rest from pushing herself this time, maybe a little too far.[/blockquote]
