DESCRIPTION:
Physical Description:
There was nothing really special from Piper Halliwell’s look. She has an average figure in height and weight. Some might say that she rather more built than her other sisters, especially compare to her little sister, Phoebe. She’s a little chubby but wasn’t exactly fat. Among the other Halliwell sisters, she’s also the tallest one, made her look a little contrast compared to the other Halliwell. Her rather pale skin was a contrast against the long dark hair that she kept onto the middle of her back. Piper has been letting her hair in the same length since she was ten and preferred to keep the style ignoring the trends that been happening.
Style:
Piper’s style is simple and a little feminine. She prefers to wear a simple blouse and some jeans among everything, even though t-shirt or skirt is also her least favorite piece of clothing. Long sleeves or ¾ sleeves blouse always have been her favorite, despite the season and the weather. She wasn’t comfortable revealing her skin to public, even though it’s a hot summer and that type of clothing accommodates her needs. The simplicity also shown the way she applied make up. She prefers a natural look and wearing make up in very minimal, just some powder and colored lip-gloss in her everyday activity. Dressing up and being pretty just wasn’t her specialty. Make up and dresses just make her less confidence and she kept her contact with those to things to very minimal. Usually, it’ll take a lot of effort just to dress Piper up and put some make up on her. Even though she has a long thick hair that she kept onto the mid of her back, Piper always refuse to do anything on them except let them free or occasionally tied them in simple ponytail.
Looks Like: Holly Marie Combs
Personality:
Piper is rather a quiet child. She wasn’t very chatty and quite introvert, especially about sharing her problems. She prefers to keep her problems just to herself. She didn’t want to be a burden for someone else and she prefer not bothering people with her problem. These attitudes often make people think that she’s a shy person, even though shy is definitely something that she wasn’t. Despite her quietness, Piper’s very straightforward if it’s about her feelings. She really appreciates honesty and rather says things straightforwardly than to pretend in order to please someone else. Her straightforwardness also shown on her action, since her feelings simply reflected on her action. It was easy to guess Piper’s feelings just by watching her attitude, or simply watching her face. She never is a good liar simply because she never able to hide her emotion well.
In her family, and also in her life, Piper’s always been the responsible one. Her attitude made her even more maternal than her older sister, Prue. Obeying rules, thinks thousand times before doing something are something that she always does. For Piper, rules need to be obeyed without questions and she develop guilty feelings when she didn’t obey them, and worse, this also applied when she knew someone wasn’t obeying their own rules. This make Piper always being the party pooper, especially when it’s about breaking the rules and doing something wild. In the other hand, Piper’s also the most reliable ones. She’s very organized and she always does what she said or what she promised to do. She can be trusted and she hardly ever betrayed those who trust her. Her sisters often take advantage of this particular trait of her, but Piper’s too kind (or is it too weak) to say no once her sisters beg her to do what they asked for.

History:
Life of Piper Halliwell always had been a weird kind of life, or at least that’s how Piper always sees it. Being the second daughter in Halliwell Manor was easy, at first. Prue, despite whatever things that sometimes make Piper want to explode, is dependable big sister. A small gap between Piper and Prue made the girls more like friends than sister, except for the fact that they argue more often than friends should. Prue is sort-of a best friend for Piper, for Prue could understand her more than Phoebe or Grams, even though the two sisters not very often sharing their problems and chitchatting. Maybe because they’re roommates, causing the two sisters can understand each other without sharing so many words. Having Phoebe as little sister, even though it’s a little hard, it’s all right for Piper. Phoebe’s always been what she is, and Piper wasn’t really bothered by her little sister’s action since that’s what Phoebe’s been doing all her life: being unpredictable and defiant.
When her mother passed away, Piper was still young. Loosing her mother is the hardest things that ever happen to her. Probably that was what causing Piper to be more introvert and quite for the rest of her life. Her mother’s always been an idol figure for Piper. She adores her mother and always trying to follow her mother’s step when she was a toddler. For Piper, her mother’s the only person that she trusts and the only person who she shared her problems with. When her mother passed away, Piper changed from a normal-cheerful child to a quiet and sensitive child. She didn’t know what to do to share her pain and fear after loosing her mother because her mother’s the only person that she shared her feelings with. She loves her Grams and her sisters, but even until now, she still couldn’t develop relationship with them like the one she shared with her mother.
The second hardest thing that ever happen to Piper’s when Paige suddenly appeared on their door and became her sister. Piper was wise enough to be able to accept the fact, just like she able accepting the fact that she’s not just an ordinary girl but a witch girl who different than most people in her neighborhood, people that she saw and she met on the street. Yet not much that knew how Paige’s appearance in Halliwell Manor broke Piper’s heart and ruined her memory of her mother. Piper’s always been fascinated with a happily-ever-after concept and ever since she found out that she’s also a witch, she always yearning (read: obsess) with having a ‘normal life’, a life just like a girl next door or like those people on the streets have. While she could pretend she’s not having power when she’s in San Francisco, it was impossible for her to pretend she didn’t have a sister while she lives in the same house as Paige. The only reason Piper could accept and bear with Paige are the fact that Piper knew that Paige had lost her family, even though only an adopted family, the fact that Paige never knew Patty Halliwell and most cause she knew the effect Paige has on Phoebe. Phoebe always been different and sometimes Piper do wondered why either she or Prue couldn’t understand Phoebe like Phoebe expecting to do. As an older sister, Piper always tried to do what she knew her mother expected her to do, being nice and kind to her siblings. Yet it was hard to be nice with Phoebe while she does things that frustrated Piper. When Paige came, she and Phoebe just click, even better than Piper and Prue. It was then (and with a lot or encouragement from Grams) Piper decided to learn accepting Paige as her sister.
All her life, Piper always wants to be like everyone else, being normal. Yet somehow, normal had never been part of her. It was hard enough to expect a normal life when your mother passed away, but become a witch-a powerful kind, just make word normal became a dream. When Piper first learnt that witchcraft was not part of just everybody, she felt strange. It feels like someone told you that the sky is pink instead of blue. It wasn’t that she didn’t like being a witch, or refusing her destiny, but the fact that she’s a witch make her realized that she’s much so different than what she imagined herself be. It’s like believing that you can sing like Aretha Franklin then realizing that you’re a tone deaf. It wasn’t hurt, or scary, just a strange feelings knowing that what you think about yourself wasn’t exactly who you really are.
Embracing witchcraft and being a charmed one wasn’t very easy for Piper, not cause her unwillingness to do anything as she’s told, cause following orders and rules is her best ability, but more because her emotion play part too much out of it. Having power-her powers, Piper realized, is feel more like having a body language. You know it’s there but so often it comes naturally that you barely notice it’s present let along to control it, except with the power she can hurt someone if she done it wrong. This realization made Piper’s self-awareness was getting higher. She’s too self-conscious with everything that she does or thinking and make her being even more careful of what she’s doing. This situation was worsening with the fact that as a Charmed One, she had responsibility than just a witch. Embracing witchcraft was hard because she thought that she needed to be flawless and on guard all the time. It was until she stepped into the Magic School when she realized that it wasn’t the way she thought it should be. She realized that she’s a little overreacted with the whole thing, just like everybody had been telling her. It was at Magic School where Piper could slowly loosen up a little and started enjoying being who she is, a Charmed One.
Piper Halliwell has been studying in Magic School since six years ago. Magic School is a comfortable place for her, even though it also a place that really declare to the world that Piper Halliwell is anything but ordinary girl. Yet in Magic School she need not to pretend or guarding her action much. She could simply be herself and using her power without really thinking much about the effect if someone finds out what she can do. She could be herself, and that’s a kind of normalcy that Piper adored. Her career in Magic School is not very special, she wasn’t a special kind of student except the fact that she one of the Halliwell sisters. In fact, she wasn’t also among those who can master their power naturally. For Piper, controlling her power is like doing sport. She has to train very often and always had to remember the sequence of doing things before she can do it well. Her trouble is most because her emotion played quite a big role in her power. Her feelings could suddenly enhance or decreasing her power, and often she even use them without even intending to do so.
In her school, Piper gets along with most of the students from various grades. It was hard not to do so since they’ve known each other for so long and often their families had been friends for so long. Moreover, because Piper’s kind nature makes her easy to get along with people. However, if it’s about having close friends or friends that she can share her problems with, Piper only has a few. Most of them are people that she knew since she started Magic School and some just people that she felt ‘click’ at instant. Among those that she trusted is Cameron Flint, a guy she’d been dating for quite sometimes. Cam Flint and Piper had been dating on and off for almost a year. Cam was a new student and Piper found an instant click when they started to talk. Of course being Piper, she couldn’t just trust Cam easily. She had many of doubts that became a barrier for her to trusting Cam. Barriers that she builds to protect herself and make her refuse to accept a fact that there’s a guy that actually interested with her. Cam’s constant being and his persistence (and a lot of encouragement from Grams) is a main thing that made Piper agree of their ‘agreement to just dating each other’ commitment three months ago, a commitment that she still refuse to acknowledge as an exclusive boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. This was actually Piper’s first serious open commitment with a guy. She’d been dating some guys, sometimes until few months, but she never really want to be open or to be exclusively be with them until she met Cam.

SAMPLE WRITING:
Riley closed the white wooden door and satisfied when she heard the click sound, a sign that it was locked. She turned around and leaned to the door, let a deep sighed out. What a day! She thought as she walked slowly toward the pink king-sized bed that was too big for her to sleep on. She threw her bag to the floor before she fastens her steps and jumped onto the bed. Landed face flat on the stack of small pillows which names she couldn’t remember and screamed as loud as she could, using the pillows and mattress as a way to cover her scream. Yes, she did scared that someone might hear her scream and no it wasn’t her grandmother’s wrath that she was afraid of, she’s been living there for long two years and eight months so she could bear with it by now. What she’s afraid of was her mother would hear from someone about her behavior in the Dubois Mansion. Her mother wouldn’t be embarrass, instead she would send her back home cause she knew Riley wasn’t like it living there a house Cassandra once running away from. For months she’s been living with her grandparent, the first thing that her mother ask were always ‘Do you enjoying yourself there?’ A question that Riley answers with a smile and followed with whatever sentence she had in mind that will conclude as ‘it’s okay, I can manage, don’t worry, I’m okay’ in her mother’s ears. It was a bad lie, yet she wouldn’t want to lie too well to her mother, even though telling the whole truth wasn’t really an option.
Riley raised her head off the bed and glanced at the old-fashion clock on her nightstand, an hour before dinner. Well at least, she still had time to prepare before the battle. She was sure that Grace Dubois would hear the whole incident of her grand daughter ‘Aurelia’ who punched the head of chess team during the recess. Would she heard that the whole incident happened cause he mocked about her boyish appearance? No, rumors wouldn’t go there, instead she would heard about the mark her famous ring put on his chin, how his lips was bleeding, how she refused to ‘cooperate’ as her teacher would say and prefer to spend her time in detention for a month instead of apologizing. Riley suddenly groaned an buried her head even deeper. A flashed of her lovely grandmother just flashed on her head, reminding Riley about guests, her grandparent’s old friends that would visit them tonight. That would mean she would had to spend the night with the fancy food with the fancy china and so many utensils completed with long hours of nodding and smiling and pretending to care action she’s never get used to. Life just can be cruel sometimes, she thought as she let out a loud scream, hoping that it somewhat could freeze the time.
