DESCRIPTION:
Physical Description: Cody is average height and weight for a man at 6’0” and 160 lbs. He has a well toned body and enough strength to handle himself well in a physical fight. His skin is relatively tan and smooth with the exception of the occasional battle scar. Cody prefers to keep his hair longer, but not incredibly long. It was originally a dark brown color, but over time in the sun it has faded into a lighter hue of brunette. It tends to curl and wave, regardless of what Cody tries to tame it with, whether it be a straightened or gel. He has light brown eyes that, as his girlfriend likes to call it, shines like honey in the sun.
Style: Unlike his girlfriend Celeste, Cody prefers a more relaxed style approach to work. He wants his students to feel comfortable around him, so he simply throws on a nice, button down shirt and jeans, along with sandals. He wears several rings and wrist cuffs, mostly because he just likes the edgy twist they give his look. He hardly ever wears actual shoes, preferring the classic flip flop.
Cody has a simplistic outlook on dressing. A button down, long sleeved shirt and jeans. Even to formal events, that’s what he wears. He doesn’t like to complicate things, and as he so often tells his girlfriend, “Who am I trying to impress?”
Looks Like: Orlando Bloom
Personality: Cody is really sort of lazy. He doesn‘t enjoy actual work, but he‘s all for the teaching. He never gives homework outside of class. “I never liked to do it when I was a student, so I won‘t make my students do it.”
He has a free-spirited attitude and outlook on life. He spends time with his family and girlfriend as much as he can, because they are what is most important in his life. He has all his priorities set in order. Others come first, followed by work, and then his own wants. “My priorities are in order. Are yours?”
Cody strives to help others. He became a teacher to help students master their powers and use them for good. He is always willing to stay after school hours to help a student on something they’re having trouble with. If a family member is having trouble, he stops whatever he is doing and insists on helping them in anyway he can. “I’ll do anything I can. That’s what I’m here for.”
Cody is energetic and enjoys working out. He is very physical and sporty. He‘s always looking for a challenge for himself and prefers warmer weather. His favorite season is Summer.

History: Cody was born and raised in Chicago Illinois by his mother and father. He began attending mortal school at age five when his brother was born. However, when he managed to conjure a lizard into a girl's hair, they decided that he should probably attend a school where that sort of thing would be considered normal.
Cody did rather well in school. He got along well with most of the other students, he treated the teachers with respect, and he only used his powers for class (and the occasional spider to scare girls). He hardly ever did his homework, but did well on any sort of test with the exception of English/Lit.
Cody graduated with a 3.0 average and immediately got a job at the high school he would have attended had his parents decided to keep him in mortal school. He became a gym teacher because he enjoyed physical activity and gym teachers didn't give out homework. He formed good relationships with all his students, but wasn't the most respected person among the other teachers.
He went several years without any romantic relationship. That's not to say there weren't offers, of course. Several girls liked Cody and the few brave ones asked him if he would like a date with them. He turned them down as gently as possible. He wanted a relationship, he truly did, but every girl he met just wasn't the one that made his heart pound madly.
Eventually he learned of the job position open at Magic School from his brother who was still attending the school. He decided to go for it since he knew he would like it even more then his current occupation.
His first couple of days were rough, as he expected. The students were welcoming and patient, however, and he was matching names with faces within the first week. He became good friends with all his students, so that if they ever had questions or needed to talk to him about anything, it would seem a little less awkward and intimidating.
After a while of teaching there, Cody encountered one teacher he had yet to meet. Of course, it was incredibly hard to ignore her, and not because of her breath-taking good looks. She had managed to send a flowerpot hurling to his head.
He learned that her name was Celeste and that she was the professor of Telekinesis at Magic School. After she insisted upon checking him for wounds, she asked him out on a date. He replied with no hesitation.
Their first date was a fantastic start to their relationship. They attented a theater showing of Wicked, followed by dinner at McDonald's and a trip to the carnival, where they proceeded to throw up their dinner after the Tilt-A-Whirl.
He and Celeste have been dating for several years now and he just recently bought a gorgeous diamond ring for a very special question. He is waiting for the oppurtune moment. He figures that it might be best if he asks her after he moves in with her.

SAMPLE WRITING:
[/blockquote] Cody took deep breaths. In, out, in, out. Today was a little bit too cold for jogging, but that had never stopped him in the past. He rounded the corner and waved as he passed his next door neighbor on her way to the supermarket.
"Hello Mrs. Lewis!" He called. She smiled and waved back, tugging on the leash that held her dog.
Cody ran up the steps to his house. In reality, it was his brother's house, but he payed half of the utilities and payment bills. After a few more days, he would be leaving the house forever.
Cody unlocked the door and walked inside, his legs burning and his throat stinging.
"Just a little too cold." He commented, falling onto the couch and turning on the television. Buster, Jeremy's dog, jumped up on the couch and flopped hisself down across Cody's lap.
"Heya, Buster." He mumbled, scratching the dog's ears while watching Family Fued. Then, the phone began to ring.
"Phone." Cody said, both stating that it was the phone that was making the noise and that one of the answers for the game show was phone-A houshold item that rings.
Cody lazily lifted the phone off its pedestal and held it to his ear.
"Sanders Residence. He said, patting Buster's head and closing his eyes, feeling the familiar sensation of drowsiness wash over him.
"Hello, Darling. Are you busy right now?" An angelic voice asked. Cody's eyes instantly shot open and he sat up straight, a smil spreading over his face.
"Celeste, love. Of course I'm not. Why?" He asked. While he asked this, his eyes flickered over to the computer desk not far away. One of the drawers contained the new diamond ring that he had been so anxious to present to his girlfriend.
"Oh, Cheshire and I were just thinking about bringing you some cookied we just baked." She answered. He could hear the oven door slam shut and Cheshire hiss. He could just imagine Celeste leaning against the wall, using her powers to manipulate the oven and baking pan. Cheshire always hissed when objects flew around the room with nothing acting upon them.
"You know I could never turn that down." He said, closing his eyes again and picturing the love of his life with her apron on and her hair tied up. She had the same look about her whenever she cooked. And no doubt she had managed to streak some flour across her cheeks.
"Alrighty then. We'll be over in a flash." She said. He heard the click of the phone and placed his own phone back on its pedestal.
"Buster, how did I ever get so lucky?" He asked the dog. Buster looked up at him and barked before dropping his head back on Cody's lap.
Cody couldn't help the laughter that followed.[/size]
